Need Help Paying for Child Care?
LaughingIMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS!

CDC has been awarded a grant from United Way of Wyoming Valley to assist parents with the cost of child care in the following situations:
◊ Parents who need child care while they seek employment
◊ Parents who are on a wait list for the State child care subsidy
Please contact the CDC center of your choice for more information and an application.

CDC often has scholarship money available for preschool children.  Please contact the center the center of your choice to discuss this. Scholarship applications will begin July 1.


CDC also offers EIGHT (8) FREE  Pre-K Counts classrooms which operate from September to June. Children who are 3 years of age by September 1 are eligible. These are located at Hazleton, South Wilkes Barre, Wilkes Barre(2), Kingston and Tunkhannock Centers. Call the center(see the Center Directory page on this site) or our main office for information. WE ARE NOW ENROLLING FOR SEPTEMBER 2020!!!!!!
CDC is now a grantee in the Infant Toddler Contract Slot program. Many of the slots in this program are cmopletely FREE. Learn more about this by contacting the ELRC at 570-703-5333 extension 102

PARENTS! IF YOU ARE ON A WAIT LIST FOR STATE SUBSIDIZED ASSISTANCE WITH CHILD CARE COSTS, WE CAN HELP WITH COSTS UNTIL YOU YOU RECEIVE STATE SUBSIDY.

PARENTS! If you would like your child to participate in an early learning program but do not necessarily need child care, please contact our Centers and ask about our Early Learning Scholarships

 


Child Development Council is a member agency of three local United Way organizations---Wyoming Valley, Greater Hazleton and Wyoming County. There is assistance with the cost of child care to eligible families available through our United Way funding. Please ask about this when you enroll your child or call our main office at 570-829-2446. 

Child Development Council applies for grants and other funding on a regular basis to assist families in need. The availability of this funding changes and will be discussed with you at your pre-placement interview.
